" Matt Scott is definitely on to something! This is all new stuff. We have been overlooking for a long time the things that Matt talks about. I thought I knew everything about diets and food and this and that. Not! Especially, how the principles discussed relate to scripture. I learned a ton of new stuff from Matt. Stuff I can use every day. "   - Bob W - Jacksonville, FL

"I can say this; Fit to Serve has been an amazing Bible study. It leaves me in awe every time I attend the class. I have learned the body, mind and spirit all coincides with all we learn in the scriptures and can be applied through our daily routines be it through our diet or personal spiritual growth. I highly recommend this study for any and all who are in need of a great Bible study or help with nutrition. It is a great support to the Christian life and answers questions with well researched Bible scriptures. It has helped me focus on what I need to be doing in my life for God and has encouraged me to keep on keeping on. Fit to Serve is definitely conducted by a man who is willing to let God work through him. Thank-you Bro Matt for this opportunity and for sharing this amazing God given class." "When I first heard about the “Fit to Serve” program I thought the focus was physical fitness.  My thinking was: “just what the world needs – another workout oriented program” but built around biblical principles.  I liked the idea but I have a great deal of trouble being faithful to formal exercise programs.  The appeal for me was to hear Matt’s ideas about nutrition, healthy eating and healthy cooking.  I particularly looked forward to hearing and discussing the biblical aspects of fitness and nutrition.  I wasn’t looking for any physical results such as increased endurance, strength, or even improvement in how I feel.  I was more interested in the spiritual results.
I was pleasantly surprised at the depth and breadth of “Fit to Serve”.  I had experienced training in these areas on two previous occasions: first, during my naval career where nutrition and fitness was a professional concern and later in life after a heart attack.  Guided by my experience and my cardiologist, I had accumulated a considerable personal knowledge of how to cook and eat for my health.  I was astonished at the practicality and sensibility of Matt’s recommendations.  They were credible based on my training and practical experience but went much farther into areas where I was vitally interested.
For example, one session was devoted to the discipline of fasting.  It is a subject that is poorly understood and rarely addressed by Christians yet of tremendous importance in building a prayer life and a relationship with God.  Matt’s presentation was comprehensive and inspired a lively discussion loaded with questions.  I felt I had benefited greatly from the session.
Still another area of benefit was the session devoted to fitness and marriage.  My wife and I attended the entire program together and found the information very worthwhile.  We hadn’t considered the important role that fitness plays in a happy marriage.  Matt showed us that the emotional, spiritual, and physical demands of marriage necessitate a concern for fitness.  This is especially true if there are children in the family.  The stakes are very high with children.   Under the best conditions, child-rearing is a difficult undertaking and requires the best we can give in order to succeed.  Lack of physical and spiritual fitness can only increase the difficulty of the task.
How does one measure the success of a program like this?  In this case, it could be in pounds lost, endurance gained, or other dramatic changes.  In my case, however, the gains aren’t obvious but profound because they are spiritual more than physical.  Also at stake is the attitude of the participants.  I saw skepticism converted to interest during the course of the program when people realized that success wasn’t always measured in traditional ways.
Moreover, the answer lies with the individuals who participate in “Fit to Serve”.  I believe Matt has achieved his basic goal which was to present the spiritual and physical benefits of being fit to serve God as well as others.  My wife and I had food for discussion outside of the class room and areas we could cooperatively work on and improve.  I felt enriched spiritually both in and out of class.  I had occasion to discuss the program with others in my church and recommend it to anyone who will listen.  No matter how much you think you know, there are good things to learn in Fit to Serve ".  - Bill A - Jacksonville, FL

"We need to be careful of our spiritual intake as well as our physical digestion so our relationship with the Father will be one that is right in our daily walk with the Lord.  If it is not right with Him – how can we expect to communicate with others on our journey to reach others for the cause of Christ? "  Tom B- Jacksonville,FL

"When I heard the name of the class “Fit to Serve” I immediately thought of my physical body and how this class might just be the thing to encourage me and the accountability I needed to loose a few pound.  Wooh was I surprised!   This class is about the spiritual and the physical body!  I am learning more and more with each class that I attend that both are interwoven and Matt Scott does a wonderful job of explaining this concept. " Mavis B - Jacksonville,FL

"My wife and I have learned so much from brother Matt's teaching. For every truth God has,Satan has a counterfeit. Throughout our married life we have fallen
for many Satan's weight loss counterfeits. Fit 2 Serve has shown us the right way to eat, to lose weight, become healthy physically , but more importantly, it has guided us to
a much healthier spiritual relationship with God .

Satan's counterfeits will always fail us, but God won't! You cannot be spiritually right with God if you are not bodily [physically] right with Him. We'll continue to eat healthy so we'll be able to to serve the Lord with all our being (Spirit,Mind and Body).God has truly blessed brother Matt with a great message and the gift of delivering it in a way that you can understand and make a vital part of your daily living.

Thank you,Brother Matt, for teaching us how we should live so we can be FIT S SERVE. "

“Thanks to Fit to Serve, I've learned that the human being is made of three parts : Spirit, mind and body and that my health has everything to do with this concept. Separate the spirit and mind from the body, and you'll lose everything! They must be always connected.
Now I understand why so many books and magazines that talk about weight loss fail to deliver a result that will last. They target the symptom, but the core of the sin is never touched neither addressed. That was a wake up call for me. Whenever we measure our fitness by a number on a scale without considering how this is going to affect our spiritual lives and in what motivation we are doing this for, we are only facing a shallow surface of a bigger problem that is yet to be revealed: pride.
I've also learned in Fit to serve that if what it only counts is a number on the scale, once I don't see that goal accomplish, I will fall for the other side of pride: eating whatever I want, not caring about how my body and health will suffer from that, plus hindering myself to serve the Lord with all my might.
We believe we can be fit for selfish purposes yet be blessed by God to be fully effective in His work, yet as Fit to Serve teaches, that cannot be! We are God’s image. When we fail to point people to Christ, we are not only depriving them from a great blessing but they are being drawn to “broken cisterns that can hold no water” which means ourselves. That’s not only sin, but it is one of the greatest sins against God: idolatry! " Gisley S – Jacksonville,FL
